Can't customise topic list

I want to hide some topics that aren't relevant to me, but when I go to do that the page is empty - nothing to select or deselect? Just the paragraph telling me to choose from the list is visible.

Help!

go to customise and then in the final para, there's a link which leads you to a page which will give you a list of all the topics
