We are going to a christening tomorrow -2 DD of our DD Godparents. I need some gift ideas avaialable from RL outlets not off net.
One LO is 4 - other is 2.

Any ideas or suggestions? most Christening gifts are aimed at babies from what I have seen.

Thanks in advance

I loved it when DC's got some nice books for their christenings, something that can be treasured.

We bought nice candle sticks and a candle each....Baptism, light of Christ etc...plus they are given a cnadle in the service so need a candle stick to put it in! For example we bought a Bristol Blue one for a Godchild born in Bristol as a reminder of their birthplace too....

Thanks both of you, I like the books idea, my DD got some nice hardback fairytale books - maybe something traditional like Wind in the Willows.

M44 - the candlestick idea is also nice - not sure how the parents would feel as they have quite a "specific" decor - would need to really get that one right!

Looks like I have to go shopping this morning before it gets too hot!!

Ended up going for the book option - nice classic A4 size hardbacks, 1 Roal Dahl Treasury and 1 wind in the willows. Looked in J Lewis but couldn't find right sort of candlesticks and too hot to travel further afield than local big town to specialist shops. hopefully should be ok! Thanks for your help

Good choices, hope the day went well.

Day was nice, a bit happy clappy for my DH but a lovely little church with a really inclusive atmosphere for all. Hopefully the gifts will be enjoyed.
