Quick question for anyone with M&S bunkbeds

I want to buy some bunkbeds for ds1 and ds2 and have just got all excited because the ones I was looking at in M&S are reduced from £399 to £299. But the mattresses are now sold seperately, whereas I'm sure before they were included . Suddenly it doesn't seem such a good deal!

So, did your beds come with mattresses or not? Am I going mad?

I haven't got them (almost did but chose different option in end) but there is a company called sleepwell in Surry that sells exactly the same furniture that M&S sell for cheaper (they buy from same supplier and lead times are also shorter). May be worth a look.

Oh, sadly not near me and I can't find a website for them - they seem to sell on ebay but have no bunkbeds listed. Thanks anyway .

Our were delivered yesterday and the matresses were included. We had to wait an age for delivery though, partly becuase although thtey had the beds ready to deliver, the mattresses weren't yet available. I wonder if that's why they've decided to do them seperately now.

Can you remember what you paid for them Gubbins?

a friend paid £399 2 months ago and this included mattresses!

Thanks MimieD, I thought as much - a bit sneaky of M&S!

I too was a bit perplexed by the M&S Bunkbed so I emailed them.

I got this reply:

Thanks for your email about trying to order a Bunkbed.

I can confirm that this product does not come with the mattresses included now. This changed around the start of July. Any orders placed before the change over would still receive the mattresses included. We are probably still delivering orders which were ordered before the change.

Thanks again for your email and I?m sorry for any inconvenience this matter has caused you.

So they have clearly raised the price by £50 (from £349 last year) & taken away the mattresses. It's now on sale for £299 though with a 20% return gift card on the purchase, which makes it a little more bearable, but I can't help but feel disappointed!

We got the white ones last summer and they did include mattresses.

Really annoyed, My bunk beds arrived yesterday without mattresses which i thought came included. We ordered them in the sale from £399 to £299 as it was the same product that was ordered it should have come with mattresses. I ordered them on 1st July and they say they now use a different supplier whose cheaper. Therefore not only am i not getting the bunk beds i actually ordered, but they've given me the new product costing £299 of a cheaper quality bed when i actually ordered the £399 product which i assume was better quality.
I've been on the phone to them for a good hour and they will not budge, won't refer me to anyone who has record of the web pages, won't send me order/product history to prove to me i'm wrong and if i want to return them as they will now cost me more than other retailers i have to pay them £100.
Seriously angry at M&S!
