Club penguin online

Am I the only person who thinks £30 for 6 months membership is extortionate. My DD wants membership for her birthday as all her friends have it(apparently). The new Club Penguin DS game is cheaper and doesn't expire but that's not what she wants. Has anyone else paid up or am I being conned into it.

Its only £20 for 6 months, not £30? We pay monthly, and the kids have to earn their membership, either through jobs or good behaviour - keeps them on their toes too!

£20's not so bad, I'll get 6 months as a birthday present and if she wants to keep it up getting her to earn it is a good idea.

We pay monthly. I stop it every now and then as DS loses interest. Then he picks it up again so we re-register.
I think it's good value actually.

We pay monthly and the DCs have to earn that (over and above their usual pocket money)

Same here, ds has it monthly and has to find at least half the money to pay for it. He hasn't been bothered with it for a couple of weeks though so I'm hoping the fad is over!!
