Ford Galaxy - year 2000/01/02/03 models

Looking at a 1.9L and what are they like on diesel? just curious as needing to upgrade to a bigger car for camping wise.

We've got a Y reg (2001?) 1.9L diesel ghia (115 bhp) galaxy and it is really good for diesel usage.

Every day (pre-school run/shopping/half hour journeys) it does 42-45mpg, and on a long run we can get up to 50 mpg. It even has a counter that gives you the current mpg and the average mpg, which promotes a bit of friendly rivalry between me and DH over who can get the best mpg!! HTH

Oh, and it's fab for camping, carboots and impulse-buying trees from garden centres too...
