I'm sure mums at mumsnet will be able to help me ! M & S do plain slips, but there never seem to be any in a 5-6 yr old in our branch (and why is there so much stuff for girls and hardly anything decent for boys - so unfair -)
all I want is a 5 pack, or a 3 pack of plain (but not all white) pants in cotton....Boden have nice ones but they're doing their sale thing at the moment...I love Petit Bateau too, but I just want some inexpensive pairs !!!!

and why do boys pants have a gusset????? surely they need an extra layer of material at the front?!

lou33 · 14/07/2003 16:03

Asda do them.

Jaybee · 14/07/2003 16:10

It is quite often the value packs in places like Tesco, Asda, Adams etc. that are plain or have a general logo like a football or something. I have recently been having the opposite problem as my dd keeps putting plain knickers on the wrong way - if they have a picture on the front she knows which way round they go.

princesspeahead · 14/07/2003 16:12

woolies do plain white ones which are pretty good quality and cheap. otherwise john lewis...

Katherine · 14/07/2003 17:16

If you really like the M&S ones then just ask at the desk. They should be able to order them in for you within a couple of days....

tamum · 14/07/2003 17:27

I think BHS do them too, although they do have an awful tendency to plaster logos over everything, I admit. GLTC have them in white, but they're £10 for a pack of 5, which seems like daylight robbery to me

SoupDragon · 14/07/2003 18:15

Tescos do 5-packs of brightly coloured plain ones.

binker · 15/07/2003 11:55

thanks all - Jaybee, good point about the plain ones - my son often puts his on the wrong way round !

Mine wouldnt wear bob the builder I must say.

sis · 15/07/2003 15:23

WWW, that's the sort of thing that I find really hard to cope with

stinky · 15/07/2003 15:31

Check out the sales - M&S had 6 pack for £3.

WideWebWitch · 15/07/2003 21:55

sb34, true about peer pressure, might start another thread actually since although in theory I don't intend to buy the 'right' trainers etc, in practice, I was heartbroken when ds told me about the Bob the Builder pants. Although I could see the funny side too, later. Sis, I know, I'm glad he shouted it through to me from the loo since I wouldn't have wanted him to see the look on my face.

oops, sorry.

Tia · 16/07/2003 13:04

Does anyone know of boys pyjamas (4yr old) without logos? They all seem to have those horrid plastic pictures on them.

SoupDragon · 16/07/2003 13:11

I think Gap have plain "traditional" PJs and Urchin do them - both not cheap though. I think maybe BHS had some too.

IDismyname · 16/07/2003 13:57

Tia
Try La Redoute or Vertbaudet - both mail order. They have great packs of 2 prs of PJ's for less than a pair of M & S ones - no logos, just traditional summer or winter ones in plains and checks.
