Problems with Humax recording when watching DVD/Blueray.

As the title says.
We have a Humax recorder and when we watch a dvd or blue ray, anything planned to record, doesn't.
The Tv and the dvd player are panasonic.
Any ideas?

Thats weird, we have the same set up and never had any problems recording.

My Humax PVR dropped dead after 2 years, when it did actually work it sometimes didn't bother to record or stopped recording before the film finished one time it only recorded the first 12 mins of a film, it seemed to give up on anything that started before and finished after midnight.

I emailed em and got no reply when it dropped dead, I've since had it looked at, the power supply is a dodges design and the motherboard is bent where they put it in wrong .

I'm going to see if I can get it replaced as it was faulty to begin with what with the bent motherboard (manufacturing defect) but first I have to find an email address they actually look at.
