If you could buy any car, what would it be?

Says it all really. I'm just curious. I'd really like a beetle as it seems quite sassy and not at all mumsy (but can still fit DCs in for the school run. I wouldn't fancy a flashy sports car, I'd feel too embarassed in it.

A Volvo XC90.

LaceandLeather · 08/06/2010 13:35

An Aston Martin

But realistically it'd have to be a nice shiny 206, I'm just about to send off for my provisional and i'd love one of these.

Laceandleather - lmfao

I would have a mini cooper s soft top

chicaguapa · 08/06/2010 13:56

Yeah, a soft top sounds good. I'd really just like something that wasn't 'practical' and bought with DC in mind, but could still fit them in for short journeys.

What 'sassy' cars are there? Beetle, Mini, Fiat 500? Any others?

Is this the female equivalent of a mid-life crisis? I'm only 37 so I don't hold out much hope for 50 and the menopause!

Well I'm 40 and I drive Kaspor the sportka (get it?)

He's pretty nippy.

Well, I used to think he was blardy FAST and then I met my new bloke, who has an exceedingly fast car

MrsJohnDeere · 08/06/2010 14:24

I'd like two.

  1. Subaru Legacy which parks itself. I have one and love driving it but cannot park to save my life.
Ours is ok in terms of fuel consumption (averages 48 mph).
  1. For school run and urban driving a Fiesta. Fun to drive and easier to park.
muggglewump · 08/06/2010 14:25

Smart Car, I love them.
I've never owned a car though.

Alouiseg · 08/06/2010 14:25

I would like a 911 and and a range rover.

bluebump · 08/06/2010 17:01

I would like a Range Rover too despite knowing that 4x4's are frowned upon. I think it's because sometimes you can get a step that drops down so you can climb up into it and it feels like sitting in your lounge (believe me, mine is about the same size!)

Failing that, I wouldn't mind a new Fiat 500 - it's more in my budget anyway.

Mercedes convertible.

MrsRhettButler · 08/06/2010 21:56

a Bently... a REALLY BIG Bently.. with a mahoosive shiney grill....

QSincognitoErgoSum · 08/06/2010 21:56

Honda CRV - the new body style (only drawback, it is not offroad-ish enough.)
But it has the smoothest ride in the world....

NorbertDentressangle · 08/06/2010 21:57

An Audi TT

(not sure what I'd do with the DCs though )

CrankyTwanky · 08/06/2010 22:04

Lexus Rh400.

It's a 4x4, but a hybrid, so I wouldn't feel bad.

Or an XC90, like Expat. Do they run on LPG?

williewalshsballs · 08/06/2010 22:11
