Gyms with sound

I want to get my 1 month old a gym, he likes toys that move and make sound but only if it's him causing it, he has no interest in toys that move themselves or play music.

I was looking at a Fisher Price jungle one that is £40 at Argos, there is a deluxe one thats £55 (I think) that says it has sound does anyone know if the sound is just press a button for it or if he has to do something to make the sounds?.

there is also a fisher price fish one in Argos thats £40 is that any good?.

he is a month old

I ahve cheese in my fridge older than that

get him a play arch to lie him under and talk talk talk to him. He will learn far more that way

I'd suggest getting a set of linky rings thus and use to attach bells, rattly toys etc (which you prob already have) to a basic arch or gym
means you can adjust how low they hang so he can reach them, and change them from time to time

I don't have any kind of gym at the mo, all he has is a bouncer and some soft toys some of which make sounds, he has only just started taking an interest in them.

in that case I'd suggest buying the cheap[est one you can find, plus some linky rings, and attaching either toys from a set like this, thiss or this, or, more cheaply, safe household objects (tea stainer, measuring spoons) and some bells from a haberdashery/craft shop.

actually this gym specificaaly says the lights/sounds are activated when the baby pulls on the toys

We have the Argos one MrsBadger linked to in her last post, which we keep at my mums. Both my daughters love it. It is very jangly and yes when they pull on one of the handles, music plays and there are lights around the mirror type toy. They are also easy to remove and hang other toys form as suggested by others on this post. Obviously it doesn't have a mat with it, nor fold down unlike the more expensive playgyms, but it does what you seem to want it for

We bought the rainforest gym for our nephew (his parents chose it), and I have to say it is lovely..I slightly wanted to have another baby so we could get one
Yeah, yeah he's only a month old, but he won't always be, and he'll get a lot out of it for some time to come

I went out yesterday after my last post and bought him the Mother Care baby's first playset as it had 15% off it looks better then the one on the website, the crab and turtle are better.

That activity gym picture is a lie, I was reading the reviews, it's an older model they don't do anymore, the one you get now looks like this

true product

I don't like that one bit he can't play with stuff at the sides, I was looking at this one which actually is how the argos picture shows

turtle arch

I'm not sure if he would pull it over onto himself thats the only problem, I like all the linking points on it.
