BabyDan high chair for a 4 year old - is it worth it?

DS1 is nearly 4 and has had a booster seat on a regular chair for a couple of years. Thing is, he fidgets so much he recently broke one of our dining chairs and we now have a shortage. I was thinking it made sense to get him one of these so that he's higher up and to free up one of the adult chairs we have left. (His younger brother has a tripp trapp which is great but not paying over £100 for another one!)

Do they really do up until they're 8-10? If so I'm thinking it's probably worth the investment - interested to hear if you rate them for older children?

What about a chair' from IKEA? Cheaper at around £30. We've got one for DS so he's higher up.

Try again... junior chair

DS is 3 by the way.

I really wouldn't bother for a four year old unless genus tiny or has some sort of SN. I think Ikea do a chair which looks like a normal chair but is higher if you feel he needs it but tbh all my dcs were using normal chairs without boosters at that age

Those Ikea ones are quite nice. Our kitchen table is quite high (and the chairs quite low) and even though DS is tall for his age he needs help! Will mull it over...

Might have come to this late but both my boys have the babydan chair, they are 4 and 7.

It is worth it as the number of children who come for tea aged 6 and 7 who fidget because they aren't tall enough to sit at the right height in my normal dining chairs is awful.

Also I sit on the babydan when the hairdresser comes to cut our hair, and I am a hefty 10 stone! Have sat in it every 5 weeks for years!

I like the babydan as like the tripp trapp you can adjust both the seat and the footrest. Well worth it in my opinion.
