Does anyone own a KIDDE carbon monoxide alarm?

I have one

Thought I heard an intermittent 'chirp' so tested - it says that the alarm will activate within 30secs (which it did)

BUt I tested again and it did nothing

Have replaced the batteries but still nothing when I press the test button

It hasn't reached its 7yr expiry date either

Any ideas?

Hmm..no ideas off the top of my head but we bought one a couple of months ago so should have the instruction book somewhere, do you want me to have a look when I get home?

That's very kind of you, thankyou

We've had ours about 4y so have no idea where the manual is!

It's no trouble

I'll be back when I've tracked it down...

Ok, booklet is very long so won't repeat the whole thing!

Does yours have a digital display?

It says the two reasons for chirping are low battery, or could be a sensor/unit malfunction.

There is a phone number if you wanted to give them a ring and see if they can help? 0800 917 0722 or 01753 685148.

Thankyou, what a star you are

It's not a digital one, no

Will call the number though

And DP is buying more batteries on way home from work, so will try that

Thanks again!
