Have just been told by Norton that my subscription ends in a week. I can either pay £17 or £38 or £55 depending on what level of security I want. I do surf but don't visit (intentionally anyway) dodgy websites, I work from home so I need email to be good and safe (both ways) but generally am not a big user of my pc/the internet. What do you suggest?

I use panda, which I downloaded from the website for a trial after a mumsnet reccomendation. I have since bought paid for the download as I was so happy with it. Both anti virus and anti spyware.

Download grisoft - it's free and good.

If it's free, what's the catch? I can't believe it can be as good as one that you pay for, or am I just being cynical? Or dumb even.

No catch. Just download it and try it.

OK, will do. By the way, what is spyware? Images of trenchcoats and trilby hats come to mind but I think I am being trite...
