a M&P 200 mattress for a 300 cot?

Can I do this? one is 6cm shorter than the other, there will therefore be 6cm difference between the mattress and the cot, too much? (M&P recommends 4cm max difference, is another 2cm too much?)

It is not recommended as could be a entrapment risk for the baby.

You could choose to get a piece of foam cut to fill in this gap and use an elasticated/fitted sheet to keep the 2 pieces together.

Definatly too much of a gap.

I just had an excellent offer on a sprung mattress for the cot that is all, but it is for a 200. I guessed it would be too much of a gap, due to entrapment, but wanted to check before i said no.

shame. It was only £35 for M&P sprung fancy smancy one. I will just buy the delux foam one instead [cheap emoticon]
