Nokia N97 - any good, or other smart phone recommendations?

I really like the look of the Nokia N97 (mini probably though the standard is also fine). Does anyone have it? I'm looking for the following in a phone:

Proper keyboard - not a touch screen one
Not a clam shell - don't like them
Ideally Nokia - can't be arsed to get used to a whole new system if I can avoid it
Good for surfing
App for / easy to get onto Twitter

Any other recommendations

Annoyingly, Orange (who I'm with) don't do the N97 anymore, so if I got that I'd have to buy it from Carphone Warehouse, who don't allow you even 7 days then to change your mind, so I would like to know more before I jump in and buy it.

Hubby got N97 on contract having had the N96 and used it to death. It spent more time in the repair shop than his pocket and he ditched it in favour of a Nokia 5800 which he loves. Not sure if it has everything you want but have a look at the spec...

Will look at the 5800, thanks mnd. I guess there may well be a good reason why Orange don't offer the N97 anymore...

I have a blackberry which does all of that.

I used to have a nokia N97, i had a few actually as i had to keep sending them back as things kept going wrong, then had the N95, that messed up too. When i went to get an upgrade from 02 i was going to go for the 8GB N95, the man in the shop said he wouldn't touch it as the software for the nokia N series isn't much good, and thats why i had to keep sending the N97 back.

Got a sony ericsson Satio now, and i love it! (although i would prefer a proper keypad, not just touch screen)

I had one and it wasn't great to be honest, had quite a few problems with turning itself off and screen freezing.

I now have an iPhone which I love.

Had the n95 and n85, both kept freezing and in end had to ditch them as they were surprisingly unreliable. Was sad to give up on nokia but am happy with iPhone though camera not up to much so had to invest in a separate camera!
