Happiest baby on the block - anyone tried his techniques???

A friend mentioned that the swaddling & method of holding baby has worked really well with her baby.

has anyone else heard of the book & video by Dr Harvey Karp and what are your thoughts???

Is that the five Ss?

Swaddle, suck, side position, shushing and something beginning with s that means jiggling?

Looks sensible really - DS used to settle with white noise and being held firmly and all babies like to suck. And most like to be jiggled.
