as to what product is best to use for purreeing home cooked food for babies?
my small food processor seems to leave very small lumps when looks very purreed. obviously you dont get that in jar food.

a sieve - I use a mini processor then sieve.....works fine

I used a braun handblender - blends smooth & very little to wash up!

Purees don't have to be as smooth as shop bought jars though.
