Is there such a thing-seems weird that you can easily buy proctective screen covers for hand held consoles but not a tv.

well it's unlikely anyone would scratch a TV and the size of the things would make the protector very expensive.

You might be able to get some kind of spray from somewhere like maplin to keep dust down, but if it's an LCD screen a physical protective sheet wouldn't do much good anyway as it's likely that something would be thrown at your TV rather then scratched along it and that would wreck the thing anyway.

Why would your tv get scratched? Hand held consoles have covers because they need to be moved around, stuck in bags, opened and closed and have touch screens. Your tv will be sat in a corner and only touched to get dusted
