Should this highchair have lasted longer than 18 months?

We have a Phil & Ted's Me Too highchair, bought online about 18 months ago (although I can't for the life of me remember who I bought it from).

DS has used it occasionally, when I've been in the kitchen and attached it to the breakfast bar, and literally once or twice when we've taken it out with us.

The thread on one of the clamps has worn down, and it's now impossible to fully fasten it - essentially making it too dangerous to use and therefore redundant.

As I can't remember which retailer I bought it from, is there anything I can do re contacting Phil & Ted's direct? I can't find any contact details for them that aren't New Zealand! I think it should've lasted longer than this, especially with relatively light wear. Am I kidding myself??

Could you buy a new clamp for it? I have never had one of these but I think if you were using it properly and not over tightening it, for the amount of times you say then it should have lasted longer.

Phil & Ted?s UK distributor - OutnAbout (outnabout-atp.co.uk/). Tel: 01234 344230. (although that seems to be for the pushchairs rather than other products)

i would say it should have lasted longer than this! i bought 2 handysitt highchairs last year and one of the clips broke and they sent a new one straight away-no questions asked. hope the p&t customer service is as good!

Thanks Seona, just phoned OutnAbout, who said to post it back and they'll repair it free of charge in 5-7 working days and send
it back to us. Hurrah!
