I was in the same position as you needing a double buggy with roughly the same age gap, I got the cosatto you and me pushchair, which was great for my needs but I didn't do as much walking as you. DD is nearly 3 and ds is 16 months now and they both fit comfortably in it but is heavy to push although dd does like to walk most of the time now so I ended up getting a buggy board for the single pushchair.
Sorry for sounding waffly but I think you have to look at your needs as there are so many buggies out there I was amazed when I started looking.
The other ones I considered at the time were the phil aned teds, out and about nipper, and the baby jogger city mini, however they were all too big for the boot of my car so in effect were no good.
If it had fitted in my car I think I would've probably went for the nipper

Hi. I've got the Out n About nipper 360 Double. 13.5 month gap bewteen my two DCs, and they're both very happy in it (DS now almost 2, DD 10 months) I've had is since just after DD arrived.
I too do a lot of walking. The nipper is so easy to push and manouver, it just glides along! I absolutely love it.... I could go on and on and on about it!

I too looked at the iCandy, but decided against it - they seem quite good for when new baby arrives, but the DCs seem to grow out of them quite quickly - lots selling on ebay only 6 months old. If you've got an hours walk to DS's school (and presumably back again!) it will probably be a while before your now 15 month old is able to do that full walk without needing to sit in the buggy at least part of the way - so I'd definatly recommend getting one that's going to last as DC grow.

I honestly can't recommend the nipper highly enough (if you want more detailed praise, just ask! don't want this post to turn into an unnecessary essay!!)
