They were £7 each on Friday when I went out and bought some ...

kid · 25/07/2005 18:16

How about grey tracksuit bottoms for the boys? I want to get DS some for September but as usual, I haven't found any yet. Not that I've looked that hard!

kid · 25/07/2005 18:17

WWW- If you still have the receipt, take them back, get a refund and buy double the amount, thats what I would do

WigWamBam · 25/07/2005 18:17

I'm sorely tempted, kid

kid · 25/07/2005 18:18

they might have other things in the sale too, just to tempt you to part with your money!

fqueenzebra · 25/07/2005 20:57

how much do M&S school trousers cost? Are they worth the difference in quality over Sainsbury's (currently £3.75/pr).

Furball · 25/07/2005 21:18

fqueenzebra - No idea on quality as I am pondering all this uniform maklarky for DS when he starts in September, But M & S trousers were £3 or £4 on the net when I looked the other night.

janeite · 25/07/2005 21:24

I got some school blouses for £3 each there yesterday, reduced from £11. Now off to look at skirts on the website!

kid · 25/07/2005 22:36

I don't want school trousers though, I really want tracksuit trousers. He doesn't have to wear uniform but I want to save his clothes! I haven't noticed school trousers in Sainsbury, will start looking over the next couple of weeks.

marthamoo · 25/07/2005 22:40

Oh are the trousers reduced too? Ds1's are flapping somewhere above his ankles but I refused to buy new ones before the holidays. They are good quality, zebra, they wash and wear well. Though two years ago all the hems on ds1's fell down but I wrote and complained and got vouchers worth more than I had spent on the trousers (and my Mum sewed them back up, yayy). Last year's ones were fine though so I think it was a one-off.

Carla · 25/07/2005 22:40

Good grief! Our school holiday only started today - how blinkin' organised you lot are. Won't they grow a bit in 6 weeks?

hoxtonchick · 25/07/2005 22:41

sainsbury's in islington have school clothes kid, i saw them today.

kid · 25/07/2005 22:42

I only go to the sainsbury in Dalston HC. I know they have uniforms in there the week the kids go back to school in september. I also know they get reduced to half price the following week!

As of today, I am no longer driving, I've got the hump

vickiyumyum · 25/07/2005 22:45

i swear by m&s school trousers, you can tumble dry them and they don't need ironing. even if you dry them on the radiator/line they still don't need ironing as long as you fold them flat.

have had lots of other brands and darling ds1 always puts the knees through them for some reason and they seem to go bobbly after a couple of washes.

fairydust · 25/07/2005 22:46

these are reduced skirts - they are the normal price there part of the new essential range they've brought out in store.

OP posts:
fairydust · 25/07/2005 22:46

there aren't reduced sorry

OP posts:
vickiyumyum · 25/07/2005 22:49

sorrel · 25/07/2005 23:08

tortoiseshell · 25/07/2005 23:12

Janh · 25/07/2005 23:30

DS2's size trousers (13) were £11 when I got a sale email. Have they been reduced or are the cheap ones different?

Janh · 25/07/2005 23:34

Oh they're different - both 65 poly 35 vicose but the more expensive ones say "non-iron". Think I'd risk it!

sorrel · 26/07/2005 17:33

boohoo NONE LEFT !!!M&S sold out of big sizes.
went to woolies and got a nice one there instead with a frill at the hem.
