I need mid-brown screw caps (about a dozen of them)

not dark brown, not white .. but mid-brown to go on light oak

I have visited 4 DIY shops so far

I am very frustrated

screwfix have white, beige or dark brown - is beige any good?

Janh · 25/07/2005 11:52

their dark brown isn't very...not by the pic anyway!

Twiglett · 25/07/2005 13:54

thanks Jan

they look fine but I need the ones that go in after the screw is in .. the cover cap ones

I could take a chance on the bottom ones (but they have a white pic) but can't help feeling that £5.95 Packing and Handling for a £1 purchase a little excessive .. will use as a last resort I think

anyone else know of anywhere that stocks that kind of thing

How urgent is it?

I'm sure DH uses these all the time at work and could get you a dozen - but he has just started 3 weeks holiday!

Oh, the flat ones.

Do you have any hardware (as opposed to DIY) stores where you are? Have a look in yellow pages.

Twiglett · 25/07/2005 17:38

am going to try timber merchants tomorrow .. done diy and hardware stores

thanks for the offer stgeorge .. I may well take you up on it

Eeny meeny miny mo, on which thread shall I go...

Looking for a pic to make sure I am getting you the right ones. This site has them, but won't link direct to the pic.

Can you have a look for me, confirm they are the right sort please?

Search alphabetical list, C, plastic only. Picture 21 or 23, depending on screw type.

What about this site - free p&p

Twiglett · 27/07/2005 17:24

I actually think it might the one on picture 22 if you count horizontally as the screws seem to have a square hole, does that make sense??
