gas burners on rangemasters...

I have a Rangemaster Toledo 110 and the gas burner rings have now got black burnt bits on them...I have scrubbed them and put them in the dishwasher but nothing has worked - they are clean just have dark marks on them, it annoys me...rofl. Any tips?

Same here, same problem. Would oven cleaner do it or would it take the black lacquer off? It is not my house so I have to be careful not to damage it.
