Dropdown side cots - how tough are they

This is a very silly question - due to me needing to buy a cot quickly & online for my 16 month old....

... Lots of cots come with 'easy release drop sides'... Would a toddler be able to figure out how to release it?

Would be grateful if someone could put my mind at rest!

Recomendations also welcome - esp of any shops selling second hand baby furniture in East London.

Neither DS managed to open the dropside of their cot. If in doubt, getone that isn't one handed operation. More fiddly for you but there is no was a toddler could open the catches.

Ds1 could manage it at almost 4, ds2 hasn't a chance (26m). You'll be fine (provided you plan moving to a bed before they are 4!)
