Hi. Could really use some help. My DD is 8 months and just about crawling so I need to get a stair gate but my hands are quite bad with rheumatoid arthritis . Anyone know of a gate that has a button to open it rather than something I have to squeeze or another really simple way of opening it?
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Faye, I have RA too and unfortunately have never found a gate that is really easy to open - I don't suppose they can be really or they'd be no good. My joints are ok at the moment (I'm pregnant), but I know how hard simple things can be when you're having a flare

The best ones that we have are these www.lindam.com/product/safety-gates/toddler-safety/easy-fit-plus.html which only need you to pinch the lock in and then swing the main latch up.

Have you visited any of the main baby shops - Mothercare, Kiddicare, John Lewis - as I'm sure they often have examples on display that you can then test out. Or I'm sure they'd take some out of the packaging for you if you explained.

Hope you can find something soon that isn't too painful to use and that your joints settle down.

Thanks so much for your help. Will have a look at the website and ask the shops to have a look at the gates.
