Planning on using BCA Sure Sell this weekend or next. Just wondering if there are any downsides. The reserve price they have suggested is higher than we expected.

my partner took his volvo to blackbush (sp?)and after putting it into 3 auctions they didnt sell it (or so they claim)it was a top speck all leather car and reserve was ony 2k so it was very hard to beleive why it hadnt sold. after we collected the 'non-sold' car we found out from a number of dealers that you have to BE THERE to ensure it goes into auction on that day- they reckoned that bca didnt put the car in at all in our absence and just charged us 3x the non selling fee. we next took it to the auction in milton keynes and stayed there and it sold very well. MK was cheaper fees too and he didnt have to take in car a day before etc, just turn up with it on the day.

Hmm, interesting. I will suggest to dh that he asks probing questions about when it will go into auction.
We were planning to use one in Bedford. Perhaps we should look at MK instead.

We have sold 4 cars at Blackbushe auctions (BCA) and it was fine. The only downside is that you unlikely to get anywhere near as good a price for it as you would if you sold it privately, especially once you take the fees off, but if you want to get rid of a car quickly and without any hassle then it is great.

We have also bought 2 cars from the same auctions and that worked well too.
