What pc games would you recommend for 4-7yr olds? Have checked on amazon & there is so much. What do your kids like?

DS (6.5) likes FIFA Football 2005 and the CBBC website. DD1 (4.5) enjoys the CBeebies website and the Jumpstart series.

HTH

Also, I'm avoiding "shoot-em-ups" for as long as I can get away with it .

my kids like the nick jnr website, saves me buying disks!

we use the free games at Sesame Workshop

not sure if that's what you had in mind. i think they're great and ds (4) loves them - very wholesome and educational so guilt free!

Thanks all - I've a really slow connection so all the fab games on cbbc and others take ages to load. Will check seasame workshop out.

We like the I-Spy games (I think we got them from Amazon). They are nice puzzle games, like the I-spy on Nick Junior. The children enjoy them, they are very peaceful, and at Christmas, when we bought the fist one (I spy Fantasy)the whole family (incuding a 8 and 13 year old) played it for hours. At the moment, they are both really enjoying the Sims, and I am amazed that at 4 and 6 they have really got the hang of the gameplay.

Absolute all-time favourite with ds and dd and their friends are the Zoombinis , now very cheap . They are such well designed programs, they work for all ages from about 5 up, although you might need to help them to start with. Lots of levels, so they are still (very) challenging for adults at the hardest level. Or maybe that's just me.
