I have to change my car in october and have to order a new one now, the Grand Scenic has a 250 advance payment and the Xsara is nil advance payment (motability)
The Grand Scenic is 7 seats, the Xsara is 5 seats. I don't know what the boot spaces are like and would like some nfo. before I go to testdrive...
Thanks

i would personally go for the grand scenic, my friend has one and loves it, but 4 of the mums at pre-school have picasso's and dont seem happy with them(their opinion, not mine)

Also weighed up scenic versus picasso and went witn the scenic. It has been a delight to drive and we have had it for three years. We are likely to go for another scenic when we change our car. Seat arrangements are fab!

dramaqueen72 · 13/07/2005 19:40

oh, we have a grand scenic (its just turned yr old ) and I love it, absolutely lovely to drive and so handy having those folding seats to pop up whenever we need. wouldnt consider many cars out there to be a 'equal' choice IMO
I am totally girly when it comes to technical car things but ask me whatever you like otherwise.

I love my Picasso BUT if I was given the opportunity to have a Grand Scenic I would jump at the chance

7 seats are great

sparklymieow · 13/07/2005 22:50

So everyone think I should go for the Grand scenic then?? We have looked at pics and seen the seats arrangement online, they look great and even with the 7 seats up I could fit DS's wheelchair in and possibly put DD1's major buggy down by their feet. I will be going to testdrive next week some time, I actually get to testdrive the car this time as I have a licence now!!

Everyone I know with the scenic LOVES it and although i was put off by 'Mumsy' look they have swayed me!

milge · 14/07/2005 17:54

We had a scenic as a hire car last month and it was fab - a bit like driving a dodgem car, i found at first, with the steering wheel lower down than i am used to. Am trying to persuade dh to get one. V versatile seats, got loads of luggage, 4 adults, 2 kids and a double buggy in. Get as big an engine as possible, otherwise you may find the performance a bit sluggish.

sparklymieow · 14/07/2005 17:55

well I think its only a 1.6 I can get on mobility, but we are edging towards the scenic and am going next week to test drive one with my dad
