Nightdresses for newborns - do they exist?

I have an urge to get some nightdresses for DS2/DD (due in September). Have found some in Mothercare but they are one size and so look quite large.

Have been searching various websites but no luck yet. Any ideas?

I have some you can buy if you like; most white, one striped. They are Gap, with drawstring at hem, good condition. Very sweet. CAT me if interested. Am going away on Wed... but if you've got until September maybe that's not a prob!

Matalan have them, I was surprised to discover the other day. Also little packs of scratch mitts, newborn hats etc. Plain white, very nice (and cheap!)

(I am always recommending Matalan, I should ask for commission )

Hadn't thought of Matalan - will pay it a visit .

There's an enormous Boots near here so will have a look at lunchtime.

I wonder whether John Lewis might have them.

Spots, I may well take you up on your offer, but will probably be in touch after Wednesday. Would probably only want white as (a) they look really cute and (b) If this is a DS2 then he might not like pink .

I am glad they do exist.

gap & john lewis. but they're big. my 2 week old dd looks a bit lost in hers.

fishfinger · 11/07/2005 11:27

like capsar the friendly ghost?

Emod · 11/07/2005 11:27

john lewis do them

the BEST ones IMO are the GAP ones - would recommend you get hold of some. They are very soft cotton and have a drawstring so dont get as rucked up as the john lewis ones.

Either way they are brilliant for when baby is first born and hasnt 'unfurled' yet - no poppers to worry about!

popsycal · 11/07/2005 11:28

Actually....I have a green baby one that ds2 only wore afew times...
organic cotton....

hoxtonchick · 11/07/2005 11:28
