Help finding his and hers matresses anyone?

I've realised the one thing that will vastly improve my quality of life would be quality of sleep!
Problem - my partner is fairly heavy and gets hot in bed and likes hard, bouncy, cool (cheap sprung style)mattress, I am light and feel the cold and like firm but with 'give'(pocket spring style)mattress. On holiday in Berlin we slept in a great bed that was one big double frame but with 'twin' mattresses in it, and a double protector on top so there was no perceptible gap.
If we could get one of these and choose different spec mattresses I think our lives would be perfect err, OK, a bit better then.

Anyone else seen these in the UK or is it just one of those examples of fantastic German engineering not available to us? any advice?

Have no idea if they are any good but when we were looking for a new mattress we noticed that Feather and Black did double mattresses that had different tensions on each side. Worth having a look.
