LCD or Plasma?

We are currently looking for new Tv and are researching the pros and cons of LCD and Plasma, what is your opinion?

(Budget is up to £600)

above a certain size it has to be plasma really

personally prefer LCD for brightness, even the very best plasma tvs tend to be a little dull and washed out

we got a new one (Sony bravia) last year and am very pleased with it - can't remember how much it was but looks to be within your budget: sony bravia LCD tvs

Plasmas only last about three years, according to DP, whereas LCDs are meant to go for 25 yrs.
