i've just decided my ds and dd need to have one. We have some christmas money left to spend. Any recommendations? Want beautiful ones - no characters allowed!

Tbh I'm not keen on hot water for kids although you don't mention your lo's ages.

I would go down the route of wheat filled teddies etc, less chances of accidents with them.

ds is 5, dd is 3.

i'm scared of the wheat things - heard of a couple of fires...

Not heard of any fires with them and you only heat in microwave for a few mins, less chance of burns than with hot water.

DD(9.10) still uses one and I have one for my back and we find them fab.

My mum bought my DSs some 'Fuzzy Friends' for christmas. They have a little wheat pouch inside that you heat in the microwave (as long as you follow the instructions and don't over heat them they're fine) and the boys love them.

We've used hot water bottles for the last few years but the fuzzy friends are alot easier.

i like hot water bottles too ja9. bigger than the wheat things too and stay warmer longer.

m&s had lovely ones last year, but don't know if they did them again this year
