Carpet shampooer - have you got one?

Our carpet is in a reasonable state but needs a little extra tlc. My mum used to have a VAX carpet shampooer - anyone got something similar? Worth the money?

we have a bissel pro heat II and it is fab. we bought it from the bissel website as they sell reconditioned ones straight from the factory £99 and it is great!

Thanks they look brilliant - just ordered one, the proheat - looked more powerful than the VAX.
