Hello I have a 21month DS and now expecting twins (currently 11weeks). We have a Toyota RAV4. Last time we went for the Jane matrix car seat as it allowed DS to lie flat, particularly on longer car journeys. This time I want to go the isofix route - don't want to be faffing with 3 car seats! Does anyone have experience with a car that will take 3 rear seats? Initially 2 group 0/0+ and 1 group 1 - though ultimately they'll all need the bigger seats - obviously! Thanks for any advice. Fiona

What size car? I asked a similar q on here before dd was born as we had 3 dc under 5 and there are not many estates/hatches that you can squeeze 3 seats into. FWIW, we had a citroen picasso 1.6 which was v.reliable, good on petrol (40mpg I think), quite cheap to insure but the most boring gutless car I have ever driven... We've now got a Fiat Multipla 2.0 diesel and love it (downside being 6 seats so my mother can tag along...).

We initially had a Scenic with one first stage car seat and 2 of the booster things with backs on IYKWIM. However, we had to chop it in once DD was in a forward facing seat. We now have a (gasp) Land Rover Defender 110 with 7 seats, but even so one of the children has to go in the very back. We looked at all sorts of 7 seaters, but had seen a crash test on 5th Gear about estates and people carriers with seats in the very back and the outcome was not good. Also I sell classic Land Rover parts for a living so was a good choice all round. Probably get slated for all that, but hey!

Hi
We have 12 month old twins . Many congratualtions twins are amazing ! Our BMW estate comfortably fitted the two maxi cosi carriers with ISO fix car seat and we would still be able to fit another seat in . Our friend who also has twins and expecting a third drives the Landrover Discovery and that fits all three!
I am currently selling both our maxi cosi infant carriers (cabrio fix) with ISO Fix easy base . Let me know if you are interested
