PS2....they are on special offer in woolies atm.

DH has PS2 AND Gamecube (greedy boy!). You can get a wider range of games for PS2 and places like "Game" and "Gamestation" do pre-owned ones at really good prices with loads on 'multi-buy' offer. Plus the children could bring their owm favourite games from home?

ps3 comes out in spring or summer next year if you can wait that long

lilaclotus · 29/06/2005 11:48

though that will cost a fortune at first.

lou33 · 29/06/2005 12:29

we have an x box and a gamecube

Iklboo · 29/06/2005 12:30

Katy - if you have a Gamestation in your area they do pre-owned consoles & games at really reasonable prices. Or try ebay, Loot, something like that.

We've got a PS2, XBox, Gamecube, and a Dreamcast and I would say that , although it doesn't have as many games in total, a Gamecube has far more childfriendly games than any of the others. I find that PS2 and XBox games are far more adult in content, whereas the bulk of GC games are aimed at children.

Game and gamestation are great for secondhand games, and ebay is excellent as well!

DH has an xbox but wishes he had a playstation. We never pay the full price for games either we get them on ebay or on play . com
