I read on the other thread you have one QE. We are going to buy the 9 seater version, but as you said the insurance companys haven't got it listed. I tried van and minibus companys but they haven't either. Who are you insured with?

Hang on, I'll check my insurance and let you know.

Mine is based on me and dh being able to drive it.

Off the top off my head I think about £300-odd.

Xena, at last I have dug out my insurance docs.

£301 including legal protection.

That's for an 8-seater 2.0Diesel GLX, registered 2002.

Mine was worth roughly £23,000 when I bought it and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I'm with Direct Line and they too only had the Connect listed. IIRC they "created" a new category especially. As long as all the details of the car are listed on the insurance documents you will be covered. Try them and say you know someone who has a Tourneo insured with them.

Let me know how you get on

Argghhh direct line will only cover up to 8 seats. My search will continue.

Try some van insurance companies. If you call direct line again, ask to be put through to their commercial vehicle section, even if you aren't using it for comercial purposes/it's not a commercial vehicle. We had to do this for our 10 seat vw transporter. Direct line did it for us. HTH
