What phone have you got and why should I get it?

Looking at this page as that's the tariff I want.

I want to use the internet and email on it so the qwerty keyboards appeal to me, but are they too fiddly to be useful? Are the screens too small to be any good? Should I just go for a bigger touchscreen without the qwerty keyboard?

What I really want is the nokia one with a slidy out keyboard but I can't get that on a cheap enough tarrif

Does it have a stylus? DH has the samsung tocco and I keep touching three buttons instead of one when I'm texting!

Thanks for your feedback

Thanks for the comparison LeoniedElf - have been considering the N97 mini, but your info makes me think again. Have seen 5800 at 160 quid on www.play.com as a T-Mobile PAYG (which means I could use it for my Virgin Mobile SIM, keep hardly any credit on it but use it on wi-fi for internet use from the lounge).

For the OP - have you checked that Three really does offer "unlimited" internet - only ask, because in the past the phone line ISPs claimed it, then users found it was not unlimited, and some add a "fair use" policy with small limits (eg 750 MB a month) while the headline still says "unlimited".

Might be worth going to a Three shop and asking if they have any plans to offer a wider range. Explain your needs and see if they can get Three HQ to create a new tariff where one pays (say) a tenner a month and supplies their own phone for flexibility.

Good luck!

Milestone- if you want to use internet then it's screen resolution is awesome- like using a notebook.

WebDude · 22/12/2009 13:16

Milestone ?? Not sure which phone you are meaning, CaptNancy, sorry!

Just spotted the Nokia E71 in Carphone Warehouse (which has full QWERTY kbd) for 20 quid a month on Three.

Sorry it's more costly than the original tariff that you were after, OP, but perhaps worth visiting for a demonstration, unless you have already chosen something...

Motorola milestone. It's the uk name for the Droid.

My OH LOVES his iphone - as do my boys as there are so many games you can play on them.

WebDude · 29/12/2009 23:28

Thanks CaptainNancy for the info. Must admit to not following all the names of all the phones

LOL SparkyToo - if you can give a link to someone offering the iPhone at around 15 quid a month then I'm sure we'll all have one... Even Tesco (at 20 quid a month) is not ideal, considering how much you have to stump up for the iPhone in the first place...

Not sure whether any of the others (eg Orange) who are offering it also give the same 'unlimited' data offer that has been out there for 2 years on the O2 network... Though as the price was outside my sights anyway, I have not been checking on any changes they might have made to contracts for users...
