i-phones - any good deals or should I wait until jan?

Am considering getting an iphone and am looking for a good deal. Sop far the best I can do is with O2 for £35 month 24 month contract plus £87 for the phone. The insurance is £11.99 month (outrageous) Can anyone do any better? Would it be worth waiting until January and then looking?

i'd be inclined to wait until january. They will be bringing the iphone out on vodafone then so might be a bit of a price was going on!
