Right, that's it. What do I get my husband for Christmas?

I have absolutely no idea. The man is impossible!
I was originally going to get him a nice dressing gown, but he then made some comment like 'ooh, I wouldn't a dressing gown for Christmas'!!
He tends to buy everything he wants when he gets the chance.

I asked him the other day what he would like, and he said 'don't know, I'm really difficult to buy for'.

what about an experience?

like driving a ferrari or a hot air balloon

sorry I dont know your budget but helicopter flights are quite reasonable

Essie3 · 17/12/2009 10:50

Hahaha, he's not the best driver in the world! Lol!
Budget isn't huge, but will look into these.

SixtyFootDoll · 17/12/2009 11:22

Essie3 · 17/12/2009 11:31

Mine's getting aftershave, a nice shirt (well I like it!), a cd and a couple of books. Oh and some boxer shorts. Dullsville I know.

Seona1973 · 17/12/2009 13:09

ds is getting a couple of PS3 games, a book, a watch, some aftershave, shirts and new cufflinks.

Seona1973 · 17/12/2009 13:10

not ds, dh

Harimad · 17/12/2009 13:14

We're cutting back this year, so mine has just got a CD, DVD and a pair of slippers. My goodness aren't we middle-aged!!
We've spent more on DS this year instead.

My friend bought her DH a day butchery course from Ginger Pig which apparently was great - if he likes cooking!

Essie3 · 17/12/2009 20:15

Lol Harimad, a girl after my own heart. Or maybe one with a similar DH!

Does he like beer? If so see my recent thread on the subject (in dadsnet) - was given some great tips on there.

butterfliesknits · 18/12/2009 18:46

A coffee machine - Argos have some good deals right now and it could save you a fortune in the long run if he's a Starbucks kinda guy? Guess what my DH is getting this year.

hollyroger · 18/12/2009 18:48

magazine subsciption? Private Eye?

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 18/12/2009 19:06

My DH has just had a birthday as well. His gifts - birthday and xmas - are:

Ministry of Sounds electropop CD
Gatecrasher CD
Panniers for his bike
R2D2 hub for computer
Dalek webcam (geek emoticon)
Bike mug (ladybird book type)
Meccano robot

realises that this looks like a DS's list and leaves thread in embarrassment

GossipMonger · 18/12/2009 19:14

Why dont you do a treasure hunt for him and when he gets a clue right you can hand him a tag which says things like

A massage tonight with oil

A romantic night in with wine and dinner

A BJ!!!!!!!!

Have just asked DH and he said he would love 'LOVE VOUCHERS' as a present. He wants an Ipod Touch but wants to choose it for himself.

sybiltherednosedreindeer · 18/12/2009 19:17

I've bought a day hunting with hawks. He will really like it and is impossile to buy for normally so I'm quite chuffed with it.

GooberChev · 18/12/2009 19:17

Buy him a share in his favourite company.
I bought a share of Cadbury as DH always scoffing chocolate.

Portofino · 18/12/2009 19:19

Tell him needs an Amazon wish list! Actually this reminds me I haven't bought DH anything at all yet....

GossipMonger · 18/12/2009 19:20

ooh Sybil - where did you get that present from? DH would love that!

JustAnotherManicMummy · 18/12/2009 19:35

Mine's getting a postcard with tea at Claridges written on it.

You can get them to send you a lovely boxed voucher but it's extra and I am being tight sensible.

I appreciate this is not the most manly gift. But then neither is DH...

Now if anyone knows what to get my dad, BIL and FIL...

sybiltherednosedreindeer · 18/12/2009 19:37

Gossipmonger it's from this place in bedfordshire.
