hard drive recorders

DH and I want to get a hard drive recorder type thing so we don't keep missing the ends of films we can't stay awake for. But am not sure where to start. Does anyone have any recommendations please? Thanks

Humax - recommended to me by Mumsnet a couple of years ago, absolutely brilliant. The only problem is that DS now thinks that every telly can show chugginton, thomas etc etc whenever he wants it! Causes no end of problem on holidays!!

thanks! have never heard of it! so do I search for Humax hard drive recordder - useless at this sort of thing!
