Anyone travelled with a Bugaboo Bee?

Hi all, has anyone taken a flight with a bugaboo bee? Wondering whether to buy the transport bag or not- here's the dilemma- do I a) wheel the pram to the gate and take my chances it won't get too beat up. b) check it in the transport bag or c) take the transport bag to the gate also - no idea even if that's feasible...
any advice would be much appreciated! My alternative is to buy a totally new robust pram that will stand up to the worst baggage handlers can throw at it, AND be good on sand, unlike the bee.... too many possibilities! Please Help!

take the pram to the gate with the bag

make sure they label the transport bag

Thanks EldonAve- does this mean you've done the same thing and it's gone smoothly?!

not with a bee

we usually fly with a single or double maclaren but we always bag them

I wheeled the pram to the gate and it went in the hold. There were two unbagged Bees on the flight and they both came off fine. Maybe it depends on the airline?

Thanks cupcake75- going to try to get a second hand bee bag on ebay so hopefully will make it all the way to Oz in one piece!
