I am due an upgrade. At the moment I have an 18 month O2 contract for £22 a month with 400 free texts and 200 free mins. I have a sony ericson but it drivers me mad freezing and switching itself off all the time which is exactly what my old sony ericson used to do so I fancy a change.

I think I could get a better deal elsewhere (virgin look good)and fancy a samsung with a good camera.

What deal have you got and which phone? Any recommendations?

Thanks Leonie I am really looking for a phone with a great camera. Some of the Samsungs have 8 megapixel cameras which is why I was looking at those- will have a look at the Nokias.

Anyone else?

Bumping again! Or do you all use baked bean tins attached by a bit of string?

If you want a good camera, get a camera.

Nokia every time, I switched to a samsung, biggest mistake ever! I don't know if this is the same on all samsung but mine is u900.

It has no "previous" when scrolling through predictive text options so if you miss your word you have to either have to delete a letter to reset the list or keep pressing the button until you get back to the word.

It also realises that you use a particular word so the first time you scroll through it may be the 5th word, the next time you use it it makes it the 2nd word. Then it changes its mind and makes it the 5th word again.

Stuff drops out the dictionary when you have added it a million times.

When I charge it at night it is on silent and when it is fully charged it beeps and vibrates despite asking me if I want to play video WITH sound when it is in silent mode

Also when you text, if you have texted the same person twice it retains them in your "recent" recipients, and it only stores the last 3 people, so you either have to go into the phone book or go into another list of recent recipients.

So yes, Nokia for me every time, lesson learnt.
