Bop It toy - tell me more?

DD, 6, has a Bop It on her Christmas list and while I've looked online, I can't actually tell what they do or how they play with them? Can anyone enlighten me please and advise which one is best to get? TIA.

we have bopit extreme, and it tell you what part of the bop it to do and it gets faster and faster. My 4yr old loves it

They are really fun but quite difficult for a young kid, my DD at 7 wouldn't be able to do it very well. The recommended age is 8+.

We have a bop it. Doesn't get used that often but when it does come out adults and kids all love it.
It shouts an instruction and you have to react in time.
