Okay so my kettle has started to whistle but is working fine... Have any of your household appliances suddenly developed odd behaviours?

Just what I said really. Have had our electric kettle for nearly a year, is working fine. Suddenly this morning it has started to whistle (a la novelty whistling kettles).
Anyway it got me wondering if anyone else noticed one of their appliances developing a sudden quirk?
