Travel cot

Hi I'm looking for a travel cot for my DD to use at my parents house. She is currently 6 months old but I'm
looking for something she'll be able to use for occassional over nights and for something that will last for some time as she will be with my folks one day a week when I go back to work. Was looking at the Phil n Teds but can't find any reviews of it. Don't fancy the tent type as it may be too alien for her and don't want to waste cash.

Checked out reviews on MN but still can't decide!

Any recommendations would be welcomed.

Thanks

We just got one of the bog-standard folding travel cots. The mattress is a bit hard so we padded it out underneath with bath towels as DD got heavier (although actually she never minded it being hard) but it has been great for occasional use at grandparents and for taking on holidays. You can generally get them at bargain prices from charity shops or NCT sales or even ebay (if you can find one for sale near you as they are pretty heavy). I think we paid £10 for ours. DD used it from six months and still sometimes uses it now and she is almost three so it's lasted well.

i would really recommend getting one that is longer than average - this as otherwise they can start to get cramped in it from quite a young age.
