My 5 y/o is anxious about a forthcoming operation and I'd like to buy her a decent book to reassure her. Amazon doesn't seem to have many - very grateful for any recommendations.

have you spoken to the hospital to see if you can visit the ward one day. my ds is having an operation soon. hospitals are his second home really, he has been to hospital before on many occasions for appointments but he has a real bad fear of needles and plasters so the hospital are arranging for us to go for an appointment for play therapy where he will get to play with bandages, plasters, the anethetist is bringing masks for ds to play with to reassure him.
