Car seat - forward facing/booster

My daughter threw up all over her car seat last night and there is no way I'm cleaning it up (it was seriously nasty - I took the job of bathing her while poor DH had to clean out the car) so I'm looking for a new one but am not sure what to get.

She's 3.5yrs but tall for her age. I don't think she should go in a booster seat yet but it won't be long so am I able to buy a seat that's suitable for her now that will convert to a booster seat later and can anyone reccommend one?

You could buy new covers you know if there's nothing actually wrong with the car seat.
Mine went in highback boosters around 3.5 though as they hated the three point ahrness.

if it were me i'd hose down the seat then stick the covers in the washing machine once most of it was rinsed off!
if not,the britax evolva 1-2-3 is a great seat,

Blimey - what's wrong with getting the worst off and putting the covers in the washing machine?

Getting a completely new seat seems very OTT and wasteful to me.

Is she 15+kg? I wonder if Highback Booster (Britax sell) might do. Britax Kid or Adventure.
I would wash the old covers myself, mind.

gosh I'd have spent a lot on seats if I binned them everytime puking occured

Plumm · 24/11/2009 17:31

this is the first time she's ever puked like this (she wasn't a pukey baby) so maybe I'm over-reacting!

TBH I didn't know the covers could be washed/replaced so I'll give that a go - thanks for all your replies

mine only started puking at 2.5 yrs

Oay a lot of attention 2 how the straps feed thru the cover, thats the tricky bit, getting them back on right.

Pay even -- I really do have a broken arm!
