AVENT DUMMY - WARNING

I just felt I had to let people know about something that happened to my nephew last week. He is 11 months old and has always used a dummy, particularly when he wakes. Last week his new Avent dummy sheered off in his mouth from the plate and it became stuck in his throat - it was only thanks to the quick action of his grandmother that he is still with us.

The reason I am posting this is that although my brother has reported this to Avent as a possible faulty batch of dummies, you don't know whether you could save some other child's life by just reporting this story.

Oh my god ... that is terrible ... your poor nephew ... what a shock that must have been for his grandma ...
I always check DD's dummies (we use the tommy tippee ones) .... I think it is important to check them everyday and replace them often.

Thanks ghosty - my mother says it has put years on her!
