Possibly not the answer you're looking for but I used a MacLaren XT plus buggyboard which was great. MacLaren goes flat for baby, and has pockets at the bac so ds1 could put snack and toy in these when we were out and about.

I'm not familiar with the M&P at all. Have you called the Buggyboard helpline?

Have a look here . It suggests there are alternative positions for the connectors and that they are reversible to give you more or less room. Perhaps you need just to adjust yours or alternatively use a Kiddyboard which can be fixed to an extra axle shown here if yours is not in the right position.
