Mess mat - something stick down?

I have an annabel karmel one, but it's the bane of my life - it flaps around and you can't hoover it. (Essential!)
Does anyone know of some sort of mess mat that sticks to the carpet? Sort of like a giant sticky backed plastic sheet? I have some idea that you can get something like that for painting, but no idea where.

Also posted this in weaning!

the sticky ones for painting are meant to be disposable - not sure how long they'd stand up to hoovering / highchair legs

I used a piece of vinyl left over from reflooring the kitchen - heavy enough that it keeps itself down even when hoovering it

get a vinyl/lino offcut from a carpet shop?

Hm, I think you're right, MrsBadger. On both things!

We bought three cheapo fleece throws from Ikea for weaning purposes. They're brilliant - stick one under high chair, feed child, pick up fleece, shake bits into the bin, put fleece in the washing machine with whatever else is going in.
