What more can I say? It was a freebee 3 years ago with our new house and I've had enough. I "know" what I want (double built under with ceramic or similar hob) but don't know what make to go for. recommendations please ladies (& gents).

We were recently buying a new hob and oven in John Lewis and they recommended Neff - if you can afford them, they are the best. We have gone for Bosch, which is cheaper, but still a good make. As it is still in our hall in its packaging I can't say how it performs yet but they are usually reliable.

We originally had Creda with ceramic hob which was a brilliant oven, and the hob was lovely to clean. But the grill packed in after 8 years. Now got separate hob and the aeg oven is c**p is definitely hotter on the left side

well codswallop - my mum had an oven with 2 temperatures - on and off. Let's just say she's never been one for domestic goddess baking.
